Lab Testing at the GrCI

IQa: Ink Quality Assurance Program

The Graphic Communication Institute’s new Ink Quality assurance program (IQa) is designed with printing and packaging companies in mind. Would you like to be certain the ink you’re buying lives up to your quality expectations? Do you need to comply with ISO 9000 requirements? Gain confidence in the components that make up your product with the IQa ink quality assurance program, only from the Graphic Communication Institute at Cal Poly!

We’ve taken the guesswork out of judging ink quality by creating a suite of tests that measure the most important attributes of paste or fluid inks. Using our state-of-the-art lab equipment and graphic arts expertise, we eliminate subjectivity when comparing an ink’s properties to the manufacturer’s Certificate of Analysis (CofA). Avoid expensive pressroom problems by assuring quality before you fill those ink fountains. Simply furnish samples of your litho or flexo ink, and we’ll do the rest!
